I am looking for a digital camera to take pictures and video. I come across the. Sanyo Xacti DMX-C5 Digital Camera . Can anyone give us suggestions on this digital cameras. Are they troublefree and easy to use?

when i think digital cameras, sanyo doesnt pop in my head as a first choice... what i do like though (after selling them) would be cannon, nikon, olympus and certain sony ....canon's powershot has great video on most of their models.

I would have to second this...Sanyo isn't a camera maker, and as such, I wouldn't go running out to buy one. I agree with everything FOX said, except about Sony. I have an older Mavica, and it's crap...but then again, it IS old!
Canon S1 or the new S2 would be my first choices.

Make sure you get a digi camera where the length of the video is based upon how much free space you have on your mem card, mine just caps it at 15 seconds.

which is why i nominated canon first lol.... yea the old sony mavikas were poo... there latest cybershot (and i mean the latest) were good cameras. not many came back and the vid was alright. the nikons were ify w/ video in dark areas during day they were really nice... not near the 30 fps from the canon though. thats my pick
