I have the official CDs and all... installed it a while ago and haven't played for a while. Now, if I try to play Single Player it won't run and just says to please install the correct CD-ROM. I try both disks and nothing works. But, multi-player works just fine.
I uninstalled and then re-installed and the problem persists.
Any clues? I searched a bit, and it seemed this happened to pirates... but this is a legit copy only installed on one machine.
Not sure what the real fix would be but I hat having to use CD's in the drive to play the game and first thing I always do is head over to GameCopyWorld and get a no CD hack for a new game I get. This might solve your problem.
If you want the NO CD Hack I have let me know and I 'll email it to you . It just replaces the exe file in the main folder and that is about it. Let me know if you want it.

Check to make sure that you don't have any CD burning software running in the background (I even had to uninstall CloneCD). It could be because the single player maps are loaded off the CD instead of over the internet. _________________ " I reject your reality and substitute my own!" - Adam Savage - Mythbusters
