agp 6600gt card located on PCI bus

I installed an agp 6600gt video card in my Gigabyte motherboard replacing a 5900xt agp card. However, device manager, msinfo32, and 3dmark03 show that the card is located on a PCI slot and that the AGP slot is empty. The card appears to run fine (8300 3dmark03 score) but I wonder if the card's performance is being degrated and if it is possible that even though it is an AGP card it is only running as a PCI video card.

No, that is just how it shows up. It's just how the system handles AGP.
