Never been much of an overclocker - I've somehow always screwed it up. This time, I decided to make a modest overclock and see the difference it makes.

What did I overclock?

AMD 2500+ @ 2.04 GHz (Stock 1.8 )
ATI 9800 Pro 420/360 (Stock 380/330)

My 3DMark 2001SE score went from 12975 to 14265! Is this a good jump for such a small change?

what was your stock cpu temp and what is your OC temp.

Is it a mobile 2500?

I have seen the mobiles hit 3.0ghz.

How to do you oc with a locked multi.

Increse your fsb at small incremeints. (2-3) and then run prime 95. Then when you get bsod increse your cpu voltae ever so slightly. (smallest) repete. Then when you find the max it will boot at or till your temps get high enough to be safe. Back off 5fsb points. Thats how I do it.

I had my old athlon 2500 running at 11x228 (2.5ghz) with load temps of 45C. (going off memory on 11x228. I know it was at 2.5ghz. It could have been 11.5x218. It was a mobile though.

I could have gone further but that was enough for me.
