You will have major shake somewhere around 35 MPH, you might take me for 2 or 3 feet, but then its over.

Now the Excursion on the other hand, that might be a good race!!!

Tell ya what...I will race either one of you or both of you on my two feet. That is right me and my fat a$$ using only foot power against anything you wanna bring. Only catch is we are only racing for 25'. Any takers?

25 feet?

No problem, I can take you in 25 feet, even with good shoes.

You may have me for a foot or two... but thats not even guranteed!!!

Let's say Vegas next January? Grin

Any time you are ready dude. I promise you it is a sure thing on my end. I made tons of money on this one thru the years. I'll race anything street legal for 25' ...30' forget about it. Back in my early years I did it with big boots on and a lite cig hanging out of my mouth and beat every car that I took on and even a bike or two until the word got around and no one would take me up on it any more. So how much you willing to donate to my cause? Wave King Laughing

This is not about me being fast... I AM NOT!!! It is about the physics and and the magic of 25'. At 27' any car has caught the runner and at 30' is long gone but at 25' the runner owns just about any car.

I would lose this bet happily as long as it got you to Vegas next year!!!

Realistically, I can see maybe 15 feet, but all the way to 25 feet?

That would be cool!!!

I am going to experiment with this, because it seems like one of those impossible bets that you could win alot at.

Dad, I just went out and paced off 25 feet...

You are absolutly correct, the initial acceleration of a vehicle cannot beat a person that quick.

What a great bet, 25 feet seems like alot till you pace it out. It's only like 7 paces at a running clip... Barely get to any respectable RPM in that distance in a car.

Yeah I really enjoyed the money I made off that bet and it was a real bummer when the word got around and no one would take me up on it any more.
