OCZ Technology RevoDrive X2 100GB PCI Express SSD

OCZ Technology has another winner on its hands with the RevoDrive X2 100GB PCI Express SSD! It is hard not to be impressed by an SSD that offers read speeds of up to 740MB/s and write speeds of up to 690MB/s. A variety of tests were run on the RevoDrive X2 and a collection of five other "high speed" SSDs, and the RevoDrive X2 was consistently dominant.

Love the speed, but the price it too high for me to justify the performance. Did up get a chance to play around with the drive for fun/curiosity (speed of ripping a dvd to the ssd or program/game launching/loading speeds)?

On a side note: I noticed you don't seem to have referral links working in the articles (at least for newegg).

I'm still getting set to make it the boot drive, so I haven't checked out all facets of its performance. I don't think the RevoDrive X2 would be the bottleneck for ripping movies, though... I'll try a DVD sometime soon - to an HDD, a different SSD, and to this one. Just got up and running on ripping Blu-rays, but the size may mean I go straight to HDD.

As far as Newegg links... The links work, right? They're just not affiliate links... Don't necessary bother with them any more.
