Okay started this question over here http://www.bigbruin.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23737 but now want to get away from a specific brand..........

Now the question is does anyone know if there would be issues between the SATA150 controller in the nForce2 SPP chip if one installs a SATA 300 1 to 2TB hard drive?

Should be fine, just make sure to hard set the HDD to SATA 1 speed (there is normally a jumper).

Installed a WD2000CSRTL 2TB drive in the system (SKT A!) with basically 1 x 1TB and 2 x 500GB partitions. This HDD has the "mechanical" jumper to regress to 150.

Owner took it home today quit happy.......yesterday was a big b#@*h as his 80GB primary was swapped out for a 160 ( set 2 x 80) and wasted 1-1/2+ hours before it sunk in that I had a bad XP OS disk! Mad
