Just checking pricing on a few items and I see that Tigerdirect no longer has MIR's posted on items like memory, power supplies, mobo and video cards. They are an east coast company so I don't think it involves someone oversleeping. _________________ "I'm a mog: half man, half dog. I'm my own best friend!"
Maybe they realized that people were getting a bad feeling from the company because of how easy it was for a MIR to be refused... From having written in the wrong color ink to your neighbor's cat coughing a hairball at just the wrong moment.
I've gotten some MIRs to work, but a lot of the time never saw anything happen. It's one of the reasons why I stopped buying from them, anyway.

Oh I had a MIR with my laptop a couple years back that they denied saying part of the required documentation was missing...which was crap because it was all there. I had copies of everything so I resent it and finally got it approved...pain in the arse that one was. _________________

I don't do those. Got burned by Iomega in the mid-nineties on not one but 2 zip-drive mail in rebates. Not long after that, my bro got burned by USRobotics on a $20 or $25 MIR.
