Upgrading to GTX260 core 216

Guys, can u please advice me if GTX260 core 216 is worth an upgrade for my current 9800GTX+? Can I get a big performance gain from this card?

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

This review has some tests that pit the 9800gtx+, GTX260, and some others in games and benchmarks.

You'll see a bigger difference with higher resolutions and detail settings. Other than that, not so much of a difference.

i would say yes. At higher resolution and also when you turn on the AA/AF, the GTX 260 216 should give you a nice boost.

i decided to go with 4890 but still waiting for Sapphire 4890 with vapor cooler to come out since i've heard that its about to be released.

@lock -- you might want to consider 2x4770 in CF mode. Both are more powerful than a 4890 , cheaper and consumes lesser electricity Smile

i might consider that, but i'm planning to CF 4890 in my future upgrade Grin

I would recommend you listen to anonemus's. Save your money for a future upgrade and save on bills too. Both will give you great performance. It would make sense to upgrade at a later time when new technology makes a big difference in performance.
