As y'all get to know me better you will realize just how software challenged I am. Sad Laughing

Anyway........ in wanting to play with my HD3870 and heard the plus and minuses of ATI Tools and RivaTuner. Now my question, is it possible to use both? If so anything special I need to do?

I don't see why you can't use both. But it is probably recommended that you don't use both for overclocking if that is what you are intending. You can use RivaTuner for overclocking and ATI Tool for its artifact scanning for example.

You can use both but i would stick to overclocking with just one program.

I've had them both running at the same time before, RivaTuner for the OC'ing part and ATI Tool for a little stress testing action.......Wink

Never caused any problems or issues.

I use ATITools to scan for artifacts while using RivaTuner to change the clocks. From what I've seen either program's changes are reflected in the other. Just don't use the autoclock feature and manually mess with the clocks at the same time. You might screw it up.
