Yo yo yo,

Guys, I need some recommendation's on motherboards ASAP!

I have pretty much everything I need for rest of the system including:

- OCZ GameXStream 700w PS
- Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
- Zalman CNPS9700 LED CPU Cooler
- LITE-ON 20X DVDÂ±R DVD Burner

I have had the ABIT IP35 Pro LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel motherboard in mind but I just haven't been able to decide.

I've been reading reviews and articles like crazy but I'm nearing information overload. The biggest factor is a price limitation of $200.. So I obviously want the best I can get for that..

What about something from ASUS? Is the P5E on your list?

Beyond your budget, but Newegg has them open box for $199.99! Laughing

What kind of video card? ATI or NVIDIA?

Yes, finally some new toys!!

I did see the P5E... I hadn't look at it too closely because of the price tag though. Do you have any experience with it? Or suggestions from known users?

And it's an NVIDIA 8800GT.

No - I have the ASUS P5KC.

Maybe you should look at an NVIDIA based chipset... In case you get another card for SLI one day, and sometimes you get a performance boost when matching cards to chipsets.

I am gonna look into an nvidia board... although now looking at the P5E that looks pretty nice.
