Kingwin is one manufacturer that recognizes that performance is important, but individuality is high on the list of desired features with many computer enthusiasts. Most of the products they manufacture are very eye-catching, and this is an understatement when looking at their new Mach 1 800W power supply. - The Review

Thanks for the review. I had never heard of this company before. The unique features of the cabling certainly stand out.

Several Questions:

1. Length of cables. Are they long enough to use in full tower case without extenders, or to use in cases that place the PS at bottom and allow for routing cables behind the MB to improve airflow?
2. Noise - did you test noise level, or do you have comments about the noise level of this PS? Is it whisper quiet with that big 140 fan, or just average loudness under load?
3. Size of the box - is it larger than most other 750-850 PS (big fan)?
4. Reliability - did you run for any extended length of time? Are you aware of any track record of reliability?
5. Finally, could you tell if the guts of this PS were their own, or do they build out on internal build of another company? (IE, Corsair uses SeaSonic guts)

Thanks again for your insights on this product. Very interesting.

Sorry the reply took so long...

1. Length of cables. - the ATX power cable is about 16"
PCI-E cable 18"
SATA cable 18" to first connector, 30" to last.
Floppy/4pin cable 18" to first connector, 30" to last.
4pin only cable 18" to first connector, 32" to last.
It might be hard to route the cables behind the MB, but it all depends on the case layout. I doubt having the PSU located at the bottom of a full tower case that you will be able to route everything behind and have connectors reach to the top most 5.25" bay.

2. Noise - did not test with any instrument, but I would have said if it were loud. The fan is at a low speed while the unit isn't working hard, and gets louder when it does.

3. Size of the box - the dimensions are: 5 7/8" x 6 1/2" x 3 1/4".

4. Reliability - It was left on overnight load testing, no issues with the test setup on the review.

5. Components - I could not tell who made the internals. Hopefully the images are close enough and clear for someone who might be able to tell who made them.
