DVD "ripping" Software

OK, now that I have a DVD burner, I want to be able to get some good software for copying DVD's. The Kids destroy the ones we buy for them, so I want to be able to make a copy of the movie so they can use/destroy the copy not the original.

I know the store DVD's are 9GB's and the -/+R ones are 4.7, so I want to be able to copy JUST the movie, I don't care about all the other stuff on there.

Anyone have any good recommendations for software. Free/cheap is best, but I'm willing to buy software as needed too.

Lots of them out there....

I personally use:

DVD Decrypter to remove the copy protection schemes
Nero Reencode 6 or Pinnacle Instant Copy 8 to shrink the DVD 9 to DVD 4
