A buddy of mine just picked up at 12" laptop and needs a case. Above all protection of the laptop is necessary (some good padding). Some extra pockets for storing a mouse, power cord, and maybe the external DVD-ROM would be nice too.

Lastly, he doesn't want to speed too much. $50 target.

Hellfire, I know you said you reviewed a lot of Targus bags, got anything that would fit this category? Thanks guys.

$50 isn't a lot of money for what you're asking. See is you can find a Dell bag, they usually have a good bit of padding, a velcro strap and pockets.

i bought a american tourister bag at wally world and love it .plenty of room , has a telescoping handle ,lots of padding .and was not a lot of money .and they stand by there warrientys .they have a no problem exchange policy .

that's where I got mine. Make sure you dont get a really flimsy arm strap if your going to be wearing it like a messenger bag, digs into your shoulder.
