Multi-threaded Linux Apps??

Does anyone know of some good apps that utilize dual core/cpu systems?

I am especially looking for one that will rip DVDs to AVI/MPG, AVI/MPG to DVD, DVD to DVD.

Any other apps would be nice to have a running list too!

dvd::rip and k3b may be able to help you out. Not sure if they're multi-threaded, though.

I haven't gotten anything working yet, but will be trying HandBrake when I get my new server setup.

It is a multi-threaded app to rip DVD to many video formats. Should be interesting Smile
