Anyone seen any great deals on LCD tvs?

I need anew one... bedroom one died! Hope to replace it, since it is only 8 months or so old, but I need something new fast...

23-30" - LCD - widescreen woudl be great.

Seen any Black Friday deals? Or other sales?

some stores are opening at 5AM!!! Yikes

I really can't see many people shopping that early...at least around here in the country.

I have a bunch of friends getting together at midnight to go out to the local Best Buy for somethings (they heard they got some more PS3's in stock which they want to keep). Was thinking about going out to join them LOL

I saw some Westinghouse 32" 720P LCD's for sale for about $450 at Best Buy I believe. The guys on AVS Forums seem to think there are pretty reasonable buys. At least they compare favorably against the Vizio's. Not the best, but as a second TV they are pretty good deals.

OOh, that sucked... And Modulok, you couldn't have been more wrong! The Ledgewood mall was packed... WalMart and Circuit City were insane. I got there at 5:05 and there was still a line about 100 people deep outside waiting to get into CC... Once inside, there was a new line to get just that one TV. But, the way CC works you order the TV in the TV department (line #2) and then go wait at customer service to pick it up (line #3).

I then left and went to the Rockaway Mall Best Buy... There wasn't a single spot... I parked on the road, and there were dozens of people circling looking for non-existent spots. For some reason I went in anyway, and immediately left... You couldn't move, it was scary!!!

I was out for an hour, got nothing, and learned a big lesson... nothing is worth that much! Laughing

I decided to go with some friends to Best Buy at Midnight (I went early at 11:30), was about the 50th person in line. By 2:30 there were probably two hundred in line. 4:00 the line had tripled!

I stayed with my friends, one of them got the last of the cheap laptops, another got one of the $1k Plasmas. I decided to pick up that 22" Westinghouse widescreen LCD they had for $200. I was out of there by 5:15 (they opened at 5:00). Monitor is set up, and WOW! This is a really nice monitor!

Coolest thing is I can connect a DVD player (or satellite) using Composite, RCA or S-Video!

Now I need to evaluate it and see how it stands up in games...which should be better than my Samsung which was 8ms GtG, this one is 5ms GtG.

The chances of me killing someone is too high. If I went out for "black friday" it's a guarantee... I'd knife someone in the heart.
