Hard Drive Backup and Restore Software

Other than Ghost, what are some other pieces of software that you have used that would allow me to back up a Raid 0 OS setup and restore it later from a bootable dvd?

Yes, I'm googling it now, but want others opinions on ones they've used Razz

Acronis was on my list to check out before BB's was posted. Might still go that route, not sure about using the PE Builder to make a bootable disk to use that DriveImage XML, but gonna give it a shot Smile

First time useing that PE BUilder, got an error that I gotta resolve Sad

Had an error doing the PE Building, so gave Acronis a shot. Piece of cake! Have to say that was the easiest I've ever seen it...

I know this is late along, but I tried to use ghost on a hardware RAID 0 set on a Gigabyte GA 7NNXP MB, and it failed miserably. Ghost backed up half the RAID set. In other words, it ignored the RAID setup entirely. Maybe this has changed by now, but this was true less than a year ago.

I just used Acronis this weekend. It makes Ghost look like an unpolished POS.

Did you use the free Acronis 7 or the new Acronis 9.

Acronis 7 not only works, but works in about a third of the time of Partition Magic 8 and on that same RAID 0 set that Ghost almost killed me on.
