I have a asus m-atx which was built for sony.So theres is no info anywhere. I would like to know how much of a improvement i would get if i would swap out the mobo for say one like this in this link?

you're going to need to supply a bit more info.

What processor are you running?
Model of PC?
etc

Typically things such as memory upgrades or CPU upgrades on existing platforms will give you a better perfomance boost than a mobo swap-out unless you plan to overclock

maybe that will help. I just wanted to know if by buying a another mobo if i will get better performce .As im not able to spend out the money to buy a new top of the line pc and im just wanting to get the most out of the pc i have now. hope the info will help someone

sadly short of adding more RAM and upgrading your video card/adding one, buying that board isn't going to offer much of a perf increase. Socket 478 doesn't offer much beyond what you already have, which is actually quite good

ok thats what i wanted to know, i just try and save up and buy a 939 socket or something like that . bad thing is by the time im able to buy a 939 mobo/cpu it will be outdated and mid range and be buying right into the same place im at now,.lol

if you get an AM2 sock939 you should be good for a long while, but you will need to upgrade to DDR2 for that
