I have just learned about this software bundle Google has put together. Some decent stuff most people should have (Ad-Aware / Norton Antivirus), and other items that are fun to check out (Google Maps / GalleryPlayer HD).

Anyway... You may have already noticed the ads on the forum (look below this post for example). Check it out. You can download the whole pack or select "add or remove software" to customize your pack. Hooks you up with (worth while) free stuff and helps the site out too.

Cool

OK... good cliche! Did you check it out? Most of what they are passing out was free to begin with. Do you not trust Ad-Aware, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and the others anyway?

Most of it is free, and availble seperately, the danger of free combo packs is it's sometime hard to tell what else is included.
Even if they are doing this out of the best of motives (and I have alot of faith in google) I see so many machines bogged down by FREE software, running only because "IT WAS FREE!" even if the user doesn't need it.
If you want FREE, I'll sign you up for some AOL discs, lots of them Yikes

Google is going to end up turning into another Microsoft. They are becomming way too big, and swallowing up smaller companies. I would love to see a few smaller search engines, take a piece of the pie, that way you will have plenty of choices as to what you use. I don't want to see everything become google-ized.
