Mentos requires a 2L bottle it seems, dumping 2 packings into a pitcher of diet coke at work did almost nothing

That's because bottled coke/pop has about 4-5 times the CO² in solution, as compared to fountain mixed. the mentos/salt,sugar/sand just provide a lot of nuculation sites for bubble formation/release. |
