One of the banner ads running in the forum here is from Showtime, who is giving away a 50" Plasma HDTV!! I can't tell you to click any of my ads, and you'll have to actually see the ad to get the link... but looks like a good one to enter!! Cool

Did I make sense? : Confused Laughing

It did for you?

I have followed that ad a few times and never got that... What I don't like about Vonage, is even though it sounds like a cool idea... they don't show you the hardware! There must be hardware required, right?

It was a box on the right side of the vontoge page, but it only shows up some of the time
Here's a direct http://www.vonage.com/Sweepstakes.php
As far as Vontage equipment, they provide one of these http://www.vonage.com/learn_installation.php free with your subscription, which you can plug in to a broadband connection any where in the world and make calls as if you were at home.
VoIP is goning to be big, and common if this court ruling http://yro.slashdot.org/yro/03/08/23/1859211.shtml?tid=95 doesn't kill it off.
Vontage just has a head start on consumer business, MS, verizon, and several of the Baby bells have announced they have VoIP plans in development, and earthlink is starting to resell Vontage service to it's Broadband customers.

Cool... thanks!

I know the technology will be HUGE... I have a few buddies that work for AT&T and one of them actually has their version of it at home for testing purposes...

I was reading the specs for that plasma screen (It would make a nice monitor if I could fit it on my desk Rolling Eyes )
650 watts! (plus sound system, tivo, htpc, etc) OLED's are sounding better all the time. Plus plasma sreens are very sensitive to screen burn-in, so video games, static displays are a no-no.
but free is still a good price Wave
