Anyone like design work?

I want to make a new banner for the main pages that incorporates the 468x60 banner ad and kinda fits the theme of the pages too...

Here is all I have so far... crude, but similar to what I might like:

http://www.bigbruin.com/assets/b-banner.gif

I'd like to use the sites main colors: cc3333 red, cccccc lt. grey, 454545 dk. grey, and 000000 black. Plus, the use of the curves, the Magneto font title (maybe chromed and stylized like the present logo), and the Trebuchet MS subtitle are key. The light grey box is sized at 472x64 so 2 pixels of grey surround every banner... something like that is waht I want.

Needs to be 790 pixels wide (or less) and no taller than 100 pixels.

Maybe I could find a giveaway or something for a good design...

Mr. T

BigBruin, check this: http://www.bluestardesign.net/ex.htm

I thought simple might work better.

Nope , simple is boring Smile Make it metallic like and add sparkley things Smile Something about the second font too ... not sure what Confused Maybe it clashes with the Big Bruin font Smile

Just my Two Cents

Both are definitely very cool!! Bert, I like yours, but its a whole new theme really, and I'm not ready to redo everything!! Ice's is close, but I would like the chromed text with black edges... and perhaps not as bright.

Maybe something on my layout that uses the red line as an edge between the dark greay and black?!?

As for the giveaway... Anyone into Glowire? I have a 10 or 15 foot string of blue, new but the box got wrecked... all documents, glue, and what not. Maybe that and a heatsink (and mad props of course)... Laughing - Not much else here right now!! But, there could be a surprise bonus... Wink

Yikes

Okay, I updated it. Just take a look at the same page. Tell me what you think. I did the red outline on the gray, the black outline on the text, and the "metallic" look on the font.
