I asked the 16 yr old that lives with us (my wife's cousin)... she says she hasn't heard it either... WTF Has the schools decided that teaching some of the major reasons this country was formed isn't worth teaching???

I've never found the Boston Tea Party to be particularly useful in explaining our history.

But that is a MAJOR point behind "Taxation without Reprisentation".

Well I'm talking about the whole "Taxation without Representation" thing. She says she's never heard of it before... Yikes

And I do agree, the basis of the tea party has relevance.

I heard the school system isn't teaching american history pre-civil war to any length. So they are leaving out major events in our history.
