I inherited this 1989 Ford F-150 4.9L I-6/5 speed manual from my cousin after she ran it into the ground.
I've done a lot of little stuff and replaced the alternator, but the only major thing it needs is a slave cylinder and, while I have it out, clutch kit. $200, not bad considering I have only $150 in it.
BUT, once I got the tranny out, I discovered that the bearings in it are gone, check the video.

So it's either rebuild it, have someone else rebuild it, or get another tranny.
I'm not going to dump a lot of money into this thing, but I *am* removing the bug gard, the nerf bars, and the redneck 3" chrome tips (one pipe is broken off after the muff, so I'm just going to cut the other one off also), and detail it. If the engine blows up or I come across a good deal, I'll put a Mustang 5.0L in it since the tranny will work with 302/351W. _________________ Due to a not-that-interesting turn of events, I am now known as Justin Danger. |

The driveway is on about a 25 degree incline, not good for working on trucks. _________________ Due to a not-that-interesting turn of events, I am now known as Justin Danger. |
