OK NA now I am really curious, just how did you investigate the media stories on this?

Same way anyone else proves anything int he media wrong.. find someone or something that contradicts it, and has proof of lagitamacy. We did this in one of my law enforcement classes I took in college. And I dont want to hear the crap I heard back then, but we were even had on one occasion written correspodence with Lacey's family. But it is bassically taking everything the media puts out there and collectin as much as you can and seeing if any can really be back up or proven false. I can see where people think there wasnt enough evidence, in fact other then a drop of Lacey's blood and a few of her hairs in the boat there was no DNA evidence to back up a conviction. The conviction was made on cimcumstantial evidence. So in my opinion the prosecuters in this case did their job, and got the conviction.

MY question was not trying to give her a hard time I REALLY wanted to know how she investigated the media stories. I often question them and really dont know how to go about finding out if they are wrong or right unless it is a subject I am familiar with other than listening to other media stories.

I admit I often give NA a hard time, mostly because our views and opinions differ so much and she is always a lively debate. As for teaming up, that is nothing planned to my knowledge it is just that some of us share the same views and agree on things. LOL I am sure she would agree what goes on between us here is nothing compared to the all out fights we used to have else where.Grin

If you want to investigate things you are msot likely going to called a heartless person, cauxe you will have to do the "unthinkable" in the public's eyes and really try and get as much info on the subject as you can. And that sometimes means bothering the family that has suffered a great loss, or pissing off the family of the accused. Alot of times if it isa person you are investigating, real estate transfers and any real estate owned is a matter of public record, as well as their criminal background. High schools and colleges are a great source of information too. One thing some poeple dont realize is that we have the same capabilties as news people. We can access public records, and talk to anyone we choose just like they can. Only difference is that most of us wouldnt take what one person says for fact when they dont have anything to back it up with. For the law enforcemnt class I took that book we had cost over $250, but the class and the book were well worth it. Lots of fun, and good knowledge!! Smile Most community colleges will offer these type of classes if you look. ANd Community colleges dont charge the huge fees 4 year Universities do.. wish I had take this particular class at a local community college would ahve saved a fortune!!

Yea, Community colleges do offer some good LE classes. When I was considering becoming a Police officer I took 2 semisters of LE classes.

But they can be good for anyone becasue they can give you an eye into the way LE works.

And... that's DR. EvilJackass to you Mrs Thing. Grin

Yea... and don't your forget it!

I was just reading the Court TV covering of this, and in it they said

"Peterson did not flinch. As Morton completed reading the forms and Judge Alfred Delucchi polled each juror about the verdict, Peterson kept his chin raised slightly and glanced nonchalantly between the judge and jurors."

You know... if I was accused of killing my wife & unborn child and was then convicted of it, and I didn't do it. I wouldn't just be calmly sitting there. I would be standing up and screaming how stupid the Jury and everyone was. The bailiffs would have to drag me kicking and screaming out of the court room.

At least that is how I would act if I was innocent... but if I had done it... I guess I'd probably act much like he did.
