No, but I figured that M$ would have a record of it...they did. Simply checked out the update site, it shows all the updates & dates installed. Sense I do all updates right after doing the OS install...........

I'd still like to find it in the registry or someplace local (on the machine that is).

Have you tried a program called Aida32 ? You can find out the installation date and who knows what else Wink I'm pretty sure it's a free download.

I'm curious. M$ makes you activate it when you change some of the components (mainly an NIC card or such), or if you do it more than once every 3 months (like when my IBM HDD's went south right after a clean install, once on each of two drives)...... Bang Head Yikes

I really hate their activation of Windows XP. While I understand why they do it, doesn't mean I have to be happy about it. Currently I own 3 copies of Windows XP Pro. Running Windows 2000 Pro on my fourth computer. When I build my next PC for my son, I'll have to purchase ANOTHER copy of Windows XP Pro Sad

I searched through the MS Knowledge Base every way I could think of and found nothing on how to find the date Windows XP was activated. Sad
