I'd take the PCP&C over the OCZ, although they are the same brand now... 500W may be just fine, but not if you're going big on video cards (and running more than one of them).

Nvidia 450s are decent cards, but if you're thinking of two cards for SLI, I might suggest getting a better, single card and maybe looking into SLI down the road. Or just get one 450 now and look to see if the performance is good enough.

6Gbps is only good for SSDs... there are 6Gbps hard drives, but you won't see any speeds faster than a 3Gbps version of the same thing.

thanks for all your help, went to mc and picked up everything but the mobo. Had to order that on, they could not locate the few they had showing in stock, and now they are our of stock.

no worries, just a few days, maybe weeks before i can get started on this. Sad

sorry for this question, but looking around for a cpu fan and i have a Socket 1155 and can only find a Socket 1156. The guy at mc, very helpful, said to just put electrical tape on the bracket so it does not touch the back of the board. does that sound right? Or are there certain Socket 1156 fans that will work best with the board i am getting?

Some brackets that go on the back side of the motherboard may have exposed metal... But typically they are padded with foam or plastic at the factory... Whether it was 1155 or 1156, you wouldn't want that metal to touch any electrical traces on the board. So, if there is exposed metal on that backside bracket that could touch the board... yeah, a little electrical tape would be good.

1155 and 1156 do use the same mounts for CPU coolers, though - so you can interchange them.

All of the parts are sitting in a nice, stacked pile, on my desk...

Here is the list for the new rig:

- P8P67 LE-R3 LGA 1155 P67 ATX Intel Motherboard
- Core i5 2500K LGA 1155
- Corsair Air Series A70 Performance CPU Cooler
- (2) Corsair DDR3 4gb (1x4)
- Cool Master Extreme Power Plus - 500w
- EVGA - GTS 450
- Samsung - 2tb hd
- Corsair A70 CPU Cooler

I think that rounds out the boxes.
