With over-whelming selections of power supplies on the market place today, choosing the right power supply may be a little challenging. From one of industry’s most trusted brand name, Thermaltake has introduced several of award-winning power supply series, such as Toughpower Series for mission-critical applications, or the TR2 Series that offers the best value in its class.

The main goal of POWERSWEEPSTAKES program is to educate the user on the importance of picking a quality power supply that is also backed by an industry’s leading 5-year warranty. While some brands might offer a 5 year warranty on their most priciest or high-end power supplies, only Thermaltake offers the same great 5 Year Warranty on all of its power supplies from the TR2 Series to Toughpower Series. This is not marketing, this is the hard fact.

Another hard fact, instead of us telling you how great the Thermaltake power supplies are, we prefer to have non-affiliated and independent critics and medias do that for us. Saving us a great deal of “marketing budget”, so we can pass on the savings back to you!

Here comes the fun part, from July 1st to September 30th, buy any Thermaltake power supply (Yes, any, not just the ones that cost more), and you’ll get a chance to win the world’s most advanced and powerful gaming case, LEVEL 10, a design collaboration by Thermaltake and BMW Group DesignworksUSA.

1. Purchase any Thermaltake power supply from July 1st to September 30th.
2. Logon to www.thermaltakeusa.com/powersweepstakes to register.
3. Thermaltake will randomly pick a winner each month (July, August & September) to receive LEVEL 10 case.

Yup, rules say no purchase necessary yet does not mention how to enter without purchasing a power supply. They also say open to US only but their Facebook rep said its open to Canada as well.

I registered... In the first steps it asks where the PSU was bought and what the receipt/invoice number is. OK, I faked that, just to see if it cared. Didn't object, but on the next page you have to upload a scan of your receipt! I uploaded a Bigbruin logo. In the end I did get an email saying my registration was complete, but:

"Your registration is now completed. Please note your registration will still need to be verified by an agent to validate the proof of purchase. If there is an error, an agent will be contacting you via email. There is nothing you need to act on right now. Please save a copy of this receipt for your record."

Seems like "A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE OR IMPROVE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING." means that they may be about zero no matter what.

They updated the terms and conditions. For no purchase entries you must send them a self addressed stamped envelope and they will send you back an entry form which you must then mail back.

I emailed them and mentioned that US postage stamps are not sold in Canada.

They changed the rules after being told that contests requiring a purchase are illegal.

Thermaltake has some not so great products but they also have some products that are pretty good (Element Series cases and Toughpower PSUs come to mind). They just aren't as consistant as some other companies.
