I started out as a kid on dirt bikes and the fist vehicle I bought myself was a Honda Magna 1100 which was a great bike. However after I moved to California and saw how people drove, I decided it was best to sell it. Miss it a ton but out here a car is much safer!

I cringe when I see the fair weather riders wearing shorts and sneakers. I wore sneakers when I first started riding, until one day I arrived home from work and discovered some road debris had bounced up and neatly sliced my right shoe nearly in half. I wore steel souled/toed boots after that.

I wore sneakers and shorts one time because I was just running down to the hardware store less than a mile away to pick up something. Got home, got off the bike, and burned the sh*t out of my leg on the exhaust. Last time I'll ever do that.

Monday riding home from work a very large bug the size of a bluejay hit my knee .... glad I had jeans on and not shorts. I always wear long pants and boots ( sometimes chaps). It cracks me up when I see women riding behind someone wearing full protective gear and they are wearing shorts and flip flops Rolling Eyes
