The "third" pilot for trans-ocean flights is a "left seater" for his "everyday job". So yes lots of hours and there for relief and emergencies.
So it was a "non-issue" as far as safety is concerned but still a mystery as to how a "very healthy" person who had passed stringent physicals "just dies of an appearant heart attach". Sad for the family too.

Off course there is the little pesky part that includes an average of 2-1/2 dockings per day at 16 different docks throughout a region dubbed "The cradle of storms". It's a small part of the day for sure, but as with airline pilots, you're only as good as your last landing.
