Other notable additions, according to the report: a clearer, higher-resolution camera, the ability to send pictures and videos via MMS (like most other 3G phones have been able to do forever),

Ha Ha this is funny. I had NO idea the "all powerful" I phone can not take a picture and send it as an MMS message. Unbelievable that you can download an app that will listen to a song and tell you all the details about it, but you can not send your friends a picture of that first beer on a Friday.

MMS will give AT&T another option to bill for,It wouldn't surprise me if they tack an additional $10/month onto the data package price. The iPhone is locked and doesn't do a lot of things other phones can do. What it does do though, it does pretty well, hence it's popularity.

That has been the story with phones and electronics for years. The iPhone is only popular because of Apple and the iPod....because there are other phones out there that do things better than the iPhone. Jobs could take a crap in a box and people would buy it.

Not only would they buy it, they'd pay hundreds of $$$ for it and claim it was the most stable, virus free cr@p ever made and that it didn't stink. Grin Assuming of course that you put it in a brushed aluminum box with an apple logo on it. Wink

Well, I actually am kinda excited/interested to see what Apple and Jobs have up their sleeves for the new iPhone release. iPhone owners must hate the yearly hardware upgrade. The truth is, most of them do upgrade, or else Apple would not carry this pattern out.

Sounds fancy and all, but will this generation feature copy & paste? Or are we still cavemen?
