Does having the page file enabled even if your not using it because you have enough ram... would windows still use it? knowing winodws it would hehehe... but anyone know for sure?

WinXP still uses the paging file even when it's disabled. You can easily check by opening Task Manager.

i have 8gig of ram and i love it. it helps you if you open up many apps which i often do as windows superfetch will preload all of the apps onto the memory.

Yeah, I hope DDR3 prices come down... and to a budget level as well. From this post today, http://www.techreport.com/discussions.x/16764 DDR2 prices seems to rise, which hopefully might impact DDR3 preices as well
