I have an Antec 480w ps, and I am wondering if it is going bad. First of all one of the 2 fans has stopped working. I am also having intermittent starting , having to press the start button more than once at times. So in the event that it is bad, what brand would you recommend in the 500 to 600 wattage? Hoping that there is one out there that is not tooo expensive as I am on a fixed income, and these are bad times. Thanks one and all.

Edit: This has to be ATX for Antec 1080 plus case. The exhaust is out the back on this case.

Antec has some good stuff, with great prices. Their EarthWatts series always seems to be on sale. Like the 430W at Newegg is $40 and the 500W is $50.

What kind of system? As in, how much power might you really need?

If you are interested in some reading on this topic, then you can check this link from Bjorn3D out.

I have a Corsair at 650W myself. Works good! Not the cheapest one available, though.. Smile
I also feel that I want to mention this list from DriverHeaven.
