Canon SD880 IS is the best possible choice for point and click. Not only does it used a latest technology from Canon DiGiC 4 Chip, which also used by other professional high-end cameras, but also allows you to record 2 sizes of videos with zoom-in-out functions during recording.

Well, the SX100 IS has most of that as well (Not the DiGIC 4 chip), and has a 10x Optical Zoom, instead of just the 4X Optical Zoom. To me that was more important.

Also, this is just our "throw around" camera. I bought it because it was good enough, and if I lost it or it got stolen in Mexico I wouldn't have cried much. We are looking to get one of the Canon Digital SLR's probably next year as our "good" camera.

SX100 is the best camera and its result is very nice because of its zoom functionality.
