I let the wife install it on her HP Tablet and it worked flawlessly for her. She hasn't had any new problems. Her btstack errors are still there and one day, I may fix that for her. Wink

Got SP1 just installed a few hours on my laptop. I only noticed how copying has sped up, but then again it's still much slower than XP. Network exploring is still slow as well =/

I've seen a couple of isolated errors with V. SP1, fragged a machine, then on one they couldn't rename folders.

Course there's always going to be a few errors.

I just wish Microsoft had one place to tell you the magic sequence in which to install patches and fixes with a link to each one in order.

The searching for the right patches that need to be installed stinks.

T'would be a pain for their tech support to sort all of that out though, because the sequence might not always work for everybody. IIRC the patch for the slow copying was initially to be obtained through a request, not through the auto-update or SP1, cuz it was under testing.

Might be a pain for them but they need a consolidated location for patches and explanations.

Why should we spend a couple hundred bucks for a broken product only to have to invest multiple hours sorting through MicroShaft to figure out what we need.

Bite the bullet put it all in one place with links out to the patches and the recommended order to install them.

Or would that be to embarrassing to have all the mistakes listed in one spot?
