I had an interview with a place around here over a month ago and they passed on me for someone with less experience, i.e. way less money... Since then I have had a few good interviews and hope to hear back from one of these other places soon... Then, out of the blue that place that passed on me calls today and has another position available, and they don't even want to talk... just made me an offer and asked that I start next week... Damn!! Same money and what not that I used to make, and a much better company. I may be working there starting next week... unless this other place gets back to me really soon and has a sweeter offer...

Well - as I wished in the first thread, the other company just got back to me too!!
I've sat here struggling to find work for 5 months, and now I have 2 places decide they want me on the same day... 
I know I can't really lose in this situation, but it is stressing me... The second place didn't have an offer ready, but I told them about the other place, and how quickly they're moving, so we'll see what happens... One way or another, I'll be back to work soon... I hope!

Very true... the first company doesn't know about the second... only the second knows about the first. And, they have offered to expedite the process and bring me back in tomorrow morning to start finalizing this... The only risk I run with the first company is taking too long... Got the offer today, they want me to start Monday...  |
