I eventually would like to host at home, the only problem is my lack of skills to set up the server. Have the hardware, have the connection... Duh

I can rent a plane ;-)

P.S. Gentoo is the way to go for home server (or anything), IMHO! emerge apache2

Laughing - funny you say that. I said the following to EvilCheeze in a message about the move...

It does kinda suck... I have all the pieces sitting here, and I just don't know what to do to make it work well. I want Blue|Fusion to fly over to work on it... Laughing

Really not that hard, and hell I can help over SSH like any other server. I have Lighttpd + FCGI + PHP5 + MySQL 5 running on my basement box now (Gentoo). I used to have Apache on it but since it's very very minimal traffic (me developing), Lighttpd is plenty. And all available right out of portage, no digging for RPMs and whatnot. And vanilla configs are way easier to work with than cPanel/WHM anyway Grin

Funny you said that... I just told him:

However all you need to do is get the basic OS up and then you can set it up so that it can be worked on remotely.
