I have a 8gig Sandisk Extreme III CF card that my wife and I use on our Canon 40d. They are pretty pricey but I got a really sweet deal.

I use a 512mb San Disk XD card for my old 4.1 megapixel Fuji camera. As for my HTC TYTN II I use a 8gb mirco sdhc Transcend card. Really I guess I look for an attractive price with speedy performance when I buy a card amongst reliability too. San Disk and Transcend have both seemed to hold up to those values.

I have to buy the biggest cards I can afford due to the recent purchase of a Canon HF100 HD Camcorder (the bomb!!!). So I buy whatever card is the absolute cheapest. In Alaska I bought an 8 gig kodak for 44.00 from the store, the next day I bought a SanDisk 8 gig for 18.00 on Amazon.

I can wipe out an 8 gig SD card in just over an hour of recording with this bad boy turned all the way up.

I attempted to convert/encode 45 seconds of AVCHD 1080p recording to MPEG and it took 34 minutes on my laptop, (and made its fan burn high speed the whole time)!!! Thank god I can drop it down to more normal recording modes for now until technology catches up.

When Bears attack, in HD. Can't wait! Grin

Mostly Sandisk flash, but I do have a transcend and Kingston as well. Basically whatevers cheapest. I use the 4gb cards in my camera(s), but have an 8gb for my eee pc.

hahahah

When we bought our Nikon D40, they had 2 4gb Sandisk SD cards for like $30 so I picked those up. Smile I follow the cheapest rule also...with my casual photography I don't really require the pricey stuff
