Did you turn UAC off? That was what I was trying to avoid. |

I think I had mine set to run as admin...can't remember. I'll have to look, but I have UAC on. _________________

Whenever it wanted to pop up a confirmation that an update was received or that a scan was complete, Vista's User Control, or whatever that annoying double/triple confirmation crap is called would tangle it up resulting in an error message and a white screen.
I know it is Vista's fault, but I am trying other things now.
I got 1 year of 3-license McAfee Security Center free for having a Scott Trade account, and so far so good on that. |
I never had a problem before I turned off User Access Control. With UAC off, I have no problems as well. It sounds like there is another problem. I think AVG is very good, and the other anti virus solutions have big tangled footprints that bog down the computer. |
