I couldn't let acruxksa beat me in bathroom mod's so I started mine today (I have a few days off because I have 70 hours to use by early Oct or loose them... and that ain't happening).

Here's what it started out as:

(Yea it was a mess.. small bathroom that the kids use all the time Bang Head )

The Sink:

I really don't like these kind of sinks

The toilet:

Yep... missing the top because the 4 yr old broke it and you can't buy replacement lids.

Now if you remember in acruxksa thread I said the bathroom had the pee smell because of the stupid carpet and having boys. Well can you tell me were the toilet sat?

Nice pee ring huh? Yikes

Of course the sink area was sooo much better

Well or not.

I just started ripping stuff out today, hopefully we'll start painting and by tomorrow I'll have the floor put in. But we'll see what I have to do to make it good enough for us to put vinyl flooring down.

Coolness man coolness... keep posting updates..

I'm remodeling Teeny's son's old room. It was pretty much trashed from his friends and their partying. Its getting new wall panels, paint, lighting and flooring. It will be my new computer and guest room - also where I'll camp out while I knock the rest of the wall out between existing PC room and bedroom to combine them.

I already took "before" pics and plan on starting my own thread on house mods.

Laughing Not bloody bullet holes, that's just where there was still some padding from the carpet stapled to the sub-floor. Just hadn't removed it before I took the pic

While I don't THINK it's a pee ring around the sink... we do have boys so it is entirely possible.

Is this the "Summer of bathroom remodels"?

I have one of our three baths ripped apart down to the studs. We knew it was in bad shape when we bought the house, the loser older children of the long gone owner didn't service the septic system and this is the low drain area of the house so we had to gut the entire thing.

I will start my own thread with pics soon too.

Glad we didn't set a budget, as I'm sure we'd be over it. Bang Head

We're at about $700 right now. Got probably another $150 to $200 left. Ahhh well, it's going to be nice (unless I f'up the floor).
