Personally, iw ould go for the burner if the cash was at hand! I just recently bought my first DVD drive... a 16x Artec (or some odd name) for $30ish... Now I see that deal I posted for the Lite-On burner under $100 with no rebates and I'm a little disappointed.

Get the burner. I've made several "Backup" copies of movies I own and the kids "store" them in their bedrooms. I even have a couple "stored" movies running across America with a trucker friend of mine.
But don't wast your money on "bargain" media! Try a couple brands for compatability with your players before you buy any bulk supply. _________________ Two wrongs don't make a right!

| I'd go with the burner as well. Sure wish the cost of the media would come down tho. |

Spend the cash and get some DVD writing action going on!
Speaking of expensive media, why can't the stupid stores stock something besides 4X CD-RWs? I know it's because there isn't a demand, but who wants to make a CD-RW at 4X??????
If the 24X CD-RWs were like $3 I'd get them, but I'd rather pay $2.94 for a fifty pack of TDK 48X CD-Rs (that I make at 52X). I mean, you can reuse them until they're full, so it works for me. _________________ Due to a not-that-interesting turn of events, I am now known as Justin Danger. |
