Doesn't appear to be announced anywhere, but Portal is currently free at the steam page. It was free once before when it was offered on the mac.

Sadly I think it was an error... it showed free then when I tried to get it... No free option.

Plenty of people on Slick Deals are saying it is working... I already have Portal through Steam, or I'd get it.

Now working.
Think it was pushed before the announcement came out, which states it is free until the 20th. Also already have it, but snagged one for my nephew. |

Seems to be working now. Guys at work were talking about it. Said 2 is even better (but I remember reading mixed reviews). Never played, not a super big puzzle guy... so we'll see.

Without ANY doubt what-so-ever, (even more so than my beloved World of Warcraft baby), the "original" Portal game will always be my favorite of them all.

| Yeah, HL3 would be nice too. At least there we have seen hints, but maybe all were unfounded. |
