OK, currently I have two drives in RAID 0 on the ATA-100 Promise card I got from Deathstar... working fine. But, I now also have access to a Silicon Image ATA-133 RAID controller that isn't being used. Would I be able to swap out RAID cards without having to re-install Windows, etc?
If its a pain, I'll just hold onto the new card for now, but I would like to get the ATA-133 card in there since I have 2 ATA-133 drives...

No sure... there are a couple of issues... I have never tried it before.... so.
BTW which Silicon Image Raid card... that's what I just got.

I don't think it will work without a reformat of the drives.......is'nt the RAID setup with the software supplied by the card mfg'er??
Will one RAID BIOS recognize another RAID BIOS???

| I don't believe the Silicon Image card will recognize the array setup by the Promise card as every controller does things just a bit different. You can try, though..... |
