I've got myself into the habbit of putting on a wrist strap (minus the cord and clip) just to remind me to touch the case. My house is carpeted throughout and I'm always getting up looking for this or that. While the wrist strap does not ground you without the cord and clip...its enough to remind me.

I've been lucky enough in my carpeted house and have never had an issue. It's risky... but walking on carpet with socks on carpet with va ideo card in one hand and a harddisk in the other is fun...

Grounding is a pain but for a $5.00 investment to protect your electronics you can't go wrong.

A humidifier or de-humidifier? Here in Cali (about 0.5 miles from the beach) I have plenty of humidity! Cool
