I haven't been in a fantasy hockey league for 2-3 years. If there are enough interested here, I will make a league, probably Yahoo (unless there is a better free option, I can't see people wanting to pay $10 for a pay league).
If interested, please reply to this thread so we can get a head count. |

I'd play - I wouldn't pay though. That said, Yahoo has made their premium leagues free for football and baseball starting last year. Used to be $130 for a league in either sport - down to $0 for the same service now. I'd hope hockey would follow suit. _________________ Sometimes I laugh so hard that the tears run down my leg!

OK, I created a league on Yahoo. If you want in PM or reply with your email address and I will send the invite.
Draft will be October 1st, and the season starts October 7th.
I setup a points league with the following system. I see it to be fair, and realistic (ie- PIMS are negative points).
| Code: | Forwards/Defensemen Stat Category
Goals (G) 3
Assists (A) 2
Plus/Minus (+/-) 1
Penalty Minutes (PIM) -1
Powerplay Goals (PPG) 4
Powerplay Assists (PPA) 2
Shorthanded Goals (SHG) 5
Shorthanded Assists (SHA) 3
Game-Winning Goals (GWG) 8
Shots on Goal (SOG) .5
Faceoffs Won (FW) 1
Faceoffs Lost (FL) -1
Hits (HIT) .5
Blocks (BLK) .5
Goaltenders Stat Category
Wins (W) 5
Losses (L) -5
Goals Against (GA) -2
Saves (SV) .5
Shutouts (SHO) 10 |

Man, last time I got in a bar room fight it started to escalate to a hockey game and I left. I just stay away from those things! _________________

So... Any chance of pulling in more people? With three people, even you guys are guaranteed a medal!!
Season is almost here... And I have some great Devils tickets... _________________ Sometimes I laugh so hard that the tears run down my leg!

I heard that the individual tickets went up 10% because of all of the fines for the summer ordeal, is that true? When are you going? Or are you trying to scalp them?
Jason, want me to ask Angry Games?
I guess that Capitols fan *cough* MrWeasel *cough* isn't interested. Strange when you have three fantasy gems on your team. With a small league like we have you are almost guaranteed one of them.
Feel free to recruit others into the league. I could make it a public league, so other yahoos will join the league. |

OOf - forgot about Angry Games! he can play if he promises to be no more than "moderately agitated games".
Someone has had a pair of lower level seats for a few years, but isn't interested in using them all this year... So I bought a handful of games... both Bruins games, Islanders, Oilers, uhh... a bunch of others. Prices are the same as last year for season ticket holders, and well discounted below face value. _________________ Sometimes I laugh so hard that the tears run down my leg!
