Anyone remember the old "Egghead" auction site? That place totally rocked for computer goodies. Never seen a deal come close at eBay for some of the Egghead stuff, and no messing with private persons - was all auctioned from a retailer that bought out overproduction or closure merchandise.

I remember them! I found some receipts from them a couple years back. They were for tiny sticks of memory and pitiful little hard drives. I forget the specifics, but something like a 16MB stick of memory was rolling up on a $100, and that was a good deal! I think the hard drives were just about 4GB, and also just under $100...

| I still have an old slot feed DVD drive I bought from there back in '98 or '99. I won two of them for $20 each, which was dirt F'n cheap then for DVDrom drives. I gave my GF at the time the other and it finally died last year on her. |
