| Quote: | | The back of the controller has 3 sets of inputs and outputs. They are each labeled "in" and "out." There are no instructions that explain what "in" and "out" are. Some fan controllers use in as the fan in and out to your motherboard for RPM sensing. Do not do this for it will lock up your computer and could cause harm to the motherboard. |

this unit could do with a clear manual |

Hi jmke... I recognize that screen name from the Mad Shrimps... ;P
Looks like both reviews agree on better instructions being needed, and that neither were 100% confident in its operation... At least their's didn't trash anything!

| I used the out meaning to fans, in being from motherboard. I would think that if hooked up completely backwards, it would fry things immediately. This thing ran for a while, 3 to 5 minutes, then decided to quit. |

In a sad twist of fate (for EverCool)... The #1 search result for the term "fan controller" on Google is now this review!! _________________ Sometimes I laugh so hard that the tears run down my leg!

Yeah, I guess so... Who would have guessed that after "the incident"...
What is kinda sad is all the traffic coming to this review, at Google's direction, looking for a GOOD fan controller... But, there is always the #2 overall serach result at Google... Another fan controller I reviewed from Jab-Tech! _________________ Sometimes I laugh so hard that the tears run down my leg!
