Never got around to mentioning my oc’ing attempt for my friend’s MicroFly build but did have some “fun” with it!

Finally had gotten around seeing what I could wrench out of the 4400+ a the biostar Tf7025. In looking for guidance it seems this mobo is the “redheaded stepchild” to the Tf7050. Could find plenty of guides, modded bioses, and general oc’ing information on the 50, but the 25 defiantly seems to be in the shadows.

First I down loaded the latest bios (then) from Biostar (N68SM116) and using the Biostar utility it was a piece of cake. After that it was oh well. My usual set of testing / monitoring software: cpu-z, spdfan, clkgen, orthos, SuperPi, Prime 95, and OCCT, but did do any bench mark stuff, yet.

When setting up the bios, the first thing that got me was I had to leave all of the memory stuff in auto just to get it to boot. After playing around for a while got things “to work”. Just don’t ask me to duplicate it!! The following is the final results………..

The only values show are non-default, everything else has been left at default.

Mobo: Biostar Tf 7025-M2 / Bios N68SM116
CPU: AMD 4400+ Brisbane (CAA4C 0725WPDW) w/ zalman CNPS8700
GPU: MSI NX8800GT OC (Dual Slot version)
Memory: 2 x 1024 Corsair CM2X1024 – 6400C4

Power Management Setup:
K8 Cool'n'Quiet: Disable

PC Health Status
Shutdown Temperature: 60C/140F

Overclock Navigator Engine
Manual Overclock
CPU Frequency: 266
K8<->NB HT Speed: 3x
K8<->NB HT Width: 16 up/dwn

DRAM Configuration:
DRAM Clock:……..677
TwTr:………………3
Trfc 0 for DIMM1:…105ns
Trfc 1 for DIMM2:…105ns
Trfc 2 for DIMM3:…105ns
Trfc 3 for DIMM4:…105ns
Twr:…………….…..6
TrTp:…………….….2
Trc:………………... 24
Trcd:………………..4
Trrd:………………...4
Trp:…………………4
Tras:………………...12
CL:………………….4 (located elsewhere)

NPT Fid Control:…...11X
Timing Mode:………MaxMimClock
Memory Clock:……..DDR677
DRAM Command:….2T
CPU Voltage:……….+0.250v (1.47v)
DDR Voltage:………2.15v
NB Voltage:…………1.24v

This has resulted in the following:

Highest ClkGen with 8M run of SPi….

275 X11 @ 677 2T = 3.024GHz http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=354147

Best stable backed up with 12 hour run of OCCT……..

266 X11 @ 677 2T = 2.926GHz http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=356878

While the native muti for the 4400+ Brisbane is X11.5, the bios only goes up to X11 so I was leaving it in Auto. However quite by accident found out I could get higher results at X11!! Yikes
