Hi. My name is Michael. I'm not a technically literate guy so bear with me. I'm having a serious problem with my Sony Digital Handcam, model DCR-TRV350 NTSC. It uses Hi8 cassettes. The problem: The tapes are not loading. The tape transport fully opens and closes when there's no tape in the transport, but when a tape is inserted, the transport begins to close but abruptly stops. The battery appears to be fully charged. I hadn't used it in several months. Any suggestions? I'm leaving for vacation in a week and the wife is irritated I haven't solved the problem yet...thanks for any help. |

Not to ask a stupid question (never can assume anything when dealing with technology!)...are you putting the tapes in correctly? Honest question...so please don't get upset. _________________ " I reject your reality and substitute my own!" - Adam Savage - Mythbusters |

| Those crafty Sony engineers must have seen me coming because they designed it so as to allow the tape to slide into the transport correctly or not at all. I know this because I just tested your certainly not stupid question. So, any other ideas guys? |
