Always a great way to start a post, but here are the steps leading up to this post.
I was in the bios on my P8P67 LE. I last recall changing the system performance options.
Clicked save and the system rebooted. But never came back to the bios.
Now the system will not boot, fans will not even come on.

I'd hit the clear CMOS jumper and hope to start all over again.
Well, not hit it - but move the jumper for 10 seconds or whatever, put it back, and try booting again... _________________

Clearing CMOS sounds like the trick... Any indicator LEDs or sounds you could go by? _________________ Sometimes I laugh so hard that the tears run down my leg!

dude, you killed it from the BIOS???
AWESOME!
Did they have you do a DEL + Power on? I've had boards that can reset the BIOS that way. _________________

I was about to run out and pick up a new PS, but put that off till the next morning. When i tried the system in the morning every time i powered on the system the fans would spin up, but i was never able to get the bios to load. Called Asus again, since I was able to get something to happen and they ended up telling me to call on Monday to get a RMA number.
So now i wait till 5:30 am PST to call. |
